Certified Forest SFI

At Westervelt Lumber, we understand sustainability. 

We know that a product made from quality Southern yellow pine is "green," because we know that wood is a renewable resource.  Over 60% of the lumber we produce comes directly from our company-owned SFI-certified forests. 

SFI certification provides the assurance that forests are being managed under the principles of sustainable forestry, which includes protection of special sites and biological diversity, responsible practices, reforestation and productive capacity, and long-term forest and soil productivity, among others. 

With a global initiative to reduce waste, pollution and ozone depletion, we know how important green building will be in the future.  As stewards of the land it is our honor to contribute a quality product that makes the grade not only from physical building requirements, but also from a eco-friendly perspective.
